Sunday, December 20th - Scripture
Ezekiel 34:1-6, 11-16
The word of the Lord came to me: 2 Mortal, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel: prophesy, and say to them—to the shepherds: Thus says the Lord God: Ah, you shepherds of Israel who have been feeding yourselves! Should not shepherds feed the sheep? 3 You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fatlings; but you do not feed the sheep. 4 You have not strengthened the weak, you have not healed the sick, you have not bound up the injured, you have not brought back the strayed, you have not sought the lost, but with force and harshness you have ruled them. 5 So they were scattered, because there was no shepherd; and scattered, they became food for all the wild animals. 6 My sheep were scattered, they wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill; my sheep were scattered over all the face of the earth, with no one to search or seek for them.
11 For thus says the Lord God: I myself will search for my sheep, and will seek them out. 12 As shepherds seek out their flocks when they are among their scattered sheep, so I will seek out my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places to which they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. 13 I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited parts of the land. 14 I will feed them with good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel shall be their pasture; there they shall lie down in good grazing land, and they shall feed on rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15 I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will make them lie down, says the Lord God. 16 I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with justice.
We would like to remind you all that we will be offering two Christmas Eve services this year, Woven at 5 pm and Traditional at 7 pm. To remain in compliance with our ReEntry plan the in-person option is limited to 20 people. We would like to encourage members to register for our drive-up worship option. We will be inviting all in-person members as well as those attending in the parking lot to participate in the Passing the light of Christ on Christmas Eve. This part of the service will take place right after communion. We will invite those in their cars to join us outside to partake. There will be communion/candle kits available for all in-person and drive-up attendees.
We will also
be collecting baby diapers at each of the Christmas Eve services. Items can be brought to the services, or left at the church prior to that evening. The gifts received will be donated to Resources of Hope so that parents of foster children will be able to receive the items free of cost.

We have returned to offering in-person worship, as well as our new drive-up option. If possible,
we encourage everyone to stay home and worship with us online.
This is the safest option, the only one without risk. This is even more important for those who are high risk - people over 60, people with heart, kidney, or lung disease, and those with chronic respiratory conditions.
For those wanting the drive-up option please join us in the parking lot and
listen via FM transmitter.
You can choose a parking spot close enough to see through the windows and tune your radio to 87.9. This will allow you to see and hear the worship service. We encourage you to bring your own communion elements and remain
in your vehicle. We will also have a greeter available outside to assist if you have any questions or issues.
For those who will be joining us for in-person worship, please be aware of the following:
-Preregistration will be required and attendance will be limited to 20 people in each service (not counting staff). This is a reduction from 25.
-Please leave the parking spaces closest to the church for those remaining in their cars.
-We will record all attendees in a log so that we may do contact tracing should a spreading event occur.
-Upon entry, you will have your temperature checked.
-Masks and social distancing will be required.
-There will be no congregational singing, but we will have one or two masked singers to lead us in song.
-Prepackaged communion will be available. No offering plates will be passed, but we have an offering box into which you may place your tithes and offerings.
-We will be dismissed in stages, and we ask everyone to avoid any clustering inside the building.
We cannot fully mitigate the risks of transmission, but we are working to be as safe as possible.
gain, the safest options are to join us online or in our parking lot.
Please do not come to the church if you have experienced any sickness or symptoms - or have been around anyone who has - in the last 14 days.

Dear Tapestry Church Family,
Each year at this time we have an opportunity to offer gifts of appreciation to the members of our church staff in the form of a Christmas bonus. There is no money budgeted for this. These gifts depend solely upon our member contributions. The total contributed will be divided equally among all the members of our staff.
Please offer your gifts by mail to the church office in an envelope marked “Staff Christmas” to the office at 1001 N. State Road 135, Suite A1, Greenwood, IN 46142. Please be sure to place "Staff Christmas" on the memo line, if paying by check. You may also pay online at the following link:
Gifts need to be collected by December 19th in order to give to our staff by Christmas.
Offering these Christmas gifts to staff is a long-standing tradition of ours and I know it means a lot to our staff members. Please join my family in offering these gifts of love and appreciation during this special season.
Thank you so much for your generosity!
