24 O Lord, how manifold are your works! Member Spotlight - Dave Rohl
During both services, this coming Sunday Dave will be speaking about the SAWs RAMPS project.
Dave joined the church after he met his wife, Brenda, back in 1998. When asked what he loves most about Tapestry his response was; "I love our people and that we are trying to live into a vision of what we believe is God's plan for us! I also love participating in the many different outreach activities we have done throughout the years. "

This week we, Tapestry Church, received a letter of gratitude and recognition from the Christian Church in Indiana for being in the top 20 congregations in the Region of Indiana in Disciples Mission Fund Giving and the top 5 congregations in Special Day Offering Giving. Congratulations and THANK YOU for your generous giving! It is good to be a part of a congregation which strives to be generous beyond ourselves and even beyond our local community!
As we look forward to creating our budget for 2022, it is our hope that we will continue to be able to grow our Outreach Giving to make an even greater impact as we respond to God’s call as individuals and as a congregation. And there are still two more opportunities for Special Day offerings in this calendar year. Be watching for them!

WEAVE
Are you a new member or new participant ready to add your thread to the fabric of Tapestry Church?

WEAVE is a gathering where we’ll talk about where we’ve been, where we are going, and why you already belong. You’ll get a little history, a good meal, and an invitation to get further connected.
WEAVE will meet in person and dinner will be provided. You can also join us via Zoom (but you’ll have to make your own dinner!). Childcare is available upon request.

REMINDER!
At both of our weekly worship services, we have multiple options for our children. We have a pray-ground area for kids near the musicians, where kids can play safely with provided resources. We also offer a Sunday School during the sermon with an alternative lesson and activities. If you are in need of a nursery (for ages 0-2), one can be provided with advanced notice. Choir Kick-Off
Are you interested in joining the Chancel Choir? We will have a Choir Kick-off Wednesday, August 25th at 7:00 p.m. at Tapestry Church. We welcome anyone who has an interest in singing, and there are no auditions to join our ministry. We rehearse every Wednesday from 7-8:30 pm. and sing for the traditional service at 10:45 a.m. from August through May. Make a Joyful Noise and come see what choir is all about. See you there.
Bell Choir and Ukuleles
The bell choir and ukulele groups will kick off their season in September. Bells will begin on September 13 at 6:30 p.m., and Ukuleles will begin on September 27th at 7:30 p.m. Both rehearsals will be held at Tapestry Church. We have a blast and would love to see you there. Disciple Fast Track I
Are you feeling ready to take a step of faith and grow closer to God? If so, we have something to help you on your journey! Beginning Tuesday, August 31st, we will begin a 25 week Bible study called Disciple Fast Track I in which we will read many parts of the Bible and grow in our understanding of God and of God’s story of love as it unfolds in the Bible. We would love to have you be a part of this journey with us. Classes will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 at the church, and our daily Bible readings will be done at home which will involve around fifteen minutes per day. We would encourage you to pray about whether you feel God calling you to be a part of this life-changing study. If you have questions or would like to sign up, you may sign up at church on Sunday mornings or you can email John Kixmiller at john@gototapestry.org.

Changing Footprints
You're invited to our September 7th First Tuesday Fellowship to see how YOU can change footprints! Scott Splichal will share information about "Changing Footprints", an organization that is 'changing the world two feet at time'.
We will be meeting at FRIEDENS UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST (8300 S Meridian Street, Indy) on Tuesday, Sept 7th. The meeting begins at 11:30, lunch is provided at 11:50, and the program begins at 12:30.
We will begin collecting $8.00 at each meeting. You may help by bringing any shoes of any sizes to donate! Please call, text, or email Jane Kixmiller BY Friday, Sept. 3 If you are attending (janekix59@gmail.com or 317-691-3110).
