This Sunday is also Commitment Sunday. We will be concluding our Owned series and submitting our pledge cards as part of worship.

18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 19 Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. 20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honor your father and mother.’” 21 He replied, “I have kept all these since my youth.” 22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “There is still one thing lacking. Sell all that you own and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.” 23 But when he heard this, he became sad; for he was very rich.

If you are joining us at Risen Lord for Trunk-or-Treat please arrive at 3pm. We also ask that you bring roasting sticks (if you have them) and a camping chair.
The Risen Lord building will be open from 3-4pm for any of those interested in touring the space.
CarePatrol!
You are invited to attend our First Tuesday Fellowship on Tuesday, November 2nd as we learn about a FREE service that helps seniors find independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities in the Indianapolis area. Amber Slaughter will share the details of this program and answer any questions that you may have. CarePatrol meets with you and determines your specific needs/desires. They then will help you with this important transition from your home to a safer senior living option.
We meet at Friedens United Church of Christ ((8300 S Meridian St. Indy). We begin with a short business meeting from 11:30-11:45 with devotions provided by Betty Briggs. A delicious lunch follows with Amber speaking to us from 12:30-1:00 p.m. Our cost is $8.00.

We will also be taking reservations and payment for our special Christmas lunch and program ($16.00) on Tuesday, Dec. 7th.

Share Your Thanks Through Giving
If you’ve listened to the news lately, you’ve heard you should shop early to obtain all your ingredients for your Thanksgiving meal. In Johnson County, we have many families who are thankful that there is something to eat on the table. As in past years, Tapestry Church has an opportunity to help those families by purchasing items for their Thanksgiving dinner. You can pick up bags with a shopping list from the Church, starting October 31st. We have also included a list with this article for those unable to get to the Church. We ask you to have all of your groceries back to Tapestry Church no later than November 21 so they can reach our families in time for their dinners.

REMINDER!
At both of our weekly worship services, we have multiple options for our children. We have a pray-ground area for kids near the musicians, where kids can play safely with provided resources. We also offer a Sunday School during the sermon with an alternative lesson and activities. If you are in need of a nursery (for ages 0-2), one can be provided with advanced notice. Coming in November
What happens when we die? What is heaven really like? Is there a literal hell? These are timeless questions that have perplexed humans for generations. Yet, most of us might be shocked to realize that much of our beliefs about the afterlife are more influenced by cultural norms and Hollywood than by scripture. Join us for this important series as we seek to explore what the Bible really says about life after death.
