Join us this Sunday as we begin the Advent Season with the series, Christmas Presence.
Isaiah 64:1-12
O that you would tear open the heavens and come down, so that the mountains would quake at your presence—2 as when fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil—to make your name known to your adversaries, so that the nations might tremble at your presence! 3 When you did awesome deeds that we did not expect, you came down, the mountains quaked at your presence. 4 From ages past no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who works for those who wait for him. 5 You meet those who gladly do right, those who remember you in your ways. But you were angry, and we sinned; because you hid yourself we transgressed. 6 We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy cloth. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. 7 There is no one who calls on your name, or attempts to take hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us, and have delivered us into the hand of our iniquity. 8 Yet, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand. 9 Do not be exceedingly angry, O Lord, and do not remember iniquity forever. Now consider, we are all your people. 10 Your holy cities have become a wilderness, Zion has become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. 11 Our holy and beautiful house, where our ancestors praised you, has been burned by fire, and all our pleasant places have become ruins. 12 After all this, will you restrain yourself, O Lord? Will you keep silent, and punish us so severely?

Advent Fellowship Luncheon - Please RSVP
Come join us on Sunday, December 5th, at noon, for an Advent fellowship luncheon at Risen Lord Lutheran Church (3758 W Whiteland Rd, Bargersville, IN 46106) We will eat some great food, share in conversation, and continue to imagine our potential ministry partnership together. Then, we’ll gather in the sanctuary for a brief moment of reflection and prayer to aid our Advent journey.
Several types of chili will be served (including vegetarian), along with sides, drinks, and dessert. There is no cost for the meal, but please RSVP below by Wednesday, December 1st so that we can plan accordingly.

Advent Devotionals
This year we are using the Advent Devotional called “Traveling with Our Ancestors” by Sandhya Rani Jha. There are hard copies available at the church or you may download a digital version HERE.

Ski Trip in January...
We are targeting January 21-22 as the date for a trip to Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, IN! It would be a Friday night ski/snowboard under the lights and a full day on the slopes on Saturday. I would like to get a sense of who is interested and available that weekend before going further into details.
Also - parents - let me know if you are interested in volunteering to help chaperone.

Light of the World
"Light of the World" is an Advent study that explores the biblical texts surrounding the story of the birth of Jesus. The classes will be held via Zoom on Thursday evenings in December (12/2 through 12/23) from 6:30-7:30pm. Please register HERE so that books can be purchased and in your hands by the end of November. Caregiver Support Group
Those who provide care to loved ones suffering from memory and cognitive impairment are welcome to participate in the Caregiver Support Group held at Risen Lord Lutheran Church. We share our stories and our needs. We also share resources to help on the journey. Privacy of information is a hallmark requirement of the group. It is open to anyone caring for any form of "memory" impairment.
The next Caregiver Support Group meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 14th from 10-noon, at Risen Lord Lutheran Church, 3758 W. Whiteland Road in Bargersville.
This is an open group, but we ask that you indicate your plans to attend. Please email Fred Freeman, massagewerksindy@comcast.net for any questions about the group. Please bring your own drink. Snacks will be available.
REMINDER!
At both of our weekly worship services, we have multiple options for our children. We have a pray-ground area for kids near the musicians, where kids can play safely with provided resources. We also offer a Sunday School during the sermon with an alternative lesson and activities. If you are in need of a nursery (for ages 0-2), one can be provided with advanced notice. Giving
Dear Tapestry Church Family,
Each year at this time we have an opportunity to offer gifts of appreciation to the members of our church staff in the form of Christmas bonuses. There is no money budgeted for this. These gifts depend solely upon our contributions. The total contributed will be divided equally among the members of our staff.
Please offer your gifts over the next few weeks either online or in an envelope for worship marked “Staff Christmas Gifts.” You can also send your gift by mail to the church office prior to December 20th.
Offering these Christmas gifts to staff is a long-standing tradition of ours and I know it means a lot to our staff members. Please join my family in offering these gifts of love and appreciation during this special season.
