The Heart of Worship
When you bring up the subject of worship, everyone has an opinion. It is one of the few subjects about which everyone feels comfortable sharing their thoughts. We all have things we like, and things we don’t, our own preferences and personal tastes.
Yet, is this all that worship is - meeting our expectations and personal tastes? Or is there more to it than that?
Join us this February, as we will be seeking to discover the “heart” of what it means to be a people who worship God together.
The Heart of Worship
Mark 12:28-31
28 One of the scribes came near and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, he asked him, “Which commandment is the first of all?” 29 Jesus answered, “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one; 30 you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Staying Connected
Lent
The theme for Lent 2022 is "Sacred Places". Our guide will be the ancient village of Bethany. This small community plays a pivotal role in the life of Jesus, playing host to many of the major events in the gospel stories, and being the place where Jesus spent the last week of his life. Why was this tiny village so important to Jesus? And moreover, why are certain places so important to us - maybe even sacred?
Your worship team would like to provide a Lenten Devotional along this same theme. To do so, we will need your help! We would like everyone to share photos of the places that are important and sacred to you. Children's Ministry
We have temporarily suspended our children’s Sunday school.
The Pray-ground area is always available for kids near the musicians as well as nursery care. If you are in need of a nursery (for ages 0-2), one can be provided with advanced notice. Click here to request nursery care.

Tapestry and Risen Lord are joining together to warm up at Mallow Run Winery's "Winter Warm-Up.”

Region Lenten Study
Friends, we invite all across the Indiana Region to gather virtually for a Lenten study led by the regional staff clergy. We will use the resource, Witness at The Cross, by Amy-Jill Levine. Obtain a copy of the book from your favorite bookseller/library (Amazon link) and learn alongside us as we share in the time together.
There are three opportunities, with each group meeting weekly for 6 weeks via Zoom as listed below. A registration link for the sessions are below. You will be sent a Zoom link in your registration confirmation email. Each session will last around 60-90 minutes.
