Rich Man & Lazarus
Luke 16:19-31
19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man’s table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores. 22 The poor man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was being tormented, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. 24 He called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in agony in these flames.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things and Lazarus in like manner evil things, but now he is comforted here, and you are in agony. 26 Besides all this, between you and us a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who might want to pass from here to you cannot do so, and no one can cross from there to us.’ 27 He said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house - 28 for I have five brothers - that he may warn them, so that they will not also come into this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; they should listen to them.’ 30 He said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ 31 He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”

August 6th & 7th
Our first Sunday in our new location! Backpack Blessing! Donuts!
Make plans now to join us as we kick off another school year and hold the first worship services at our new location!
The weekend starts with our Family and Friends Night at Mallow Run on Saturday, August 6th, where we'll gather for food, music, and fun (details below).
Then, on Sunday, August 7th, we will have our first worship services at our new location - 3758 W Whiteland Rd!
Woven Worship will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 AM (running concurrently with Risen Lord Lutheran Church’s service) and Traditional Worship will be held in the Sanctuary at 11:00 AM.
In between services, at 10:30AM, we will have our annual Backpack Blessing for our kiddos’ backpacks and a Blessing for our Educators - in conjunction with Risen Lord and the Montessori School!
We'll also have free coffee and donuts between services!
Invite someone to join you as we celebrate this historic weekend together!
Family & Friends Night at Mallow Run - August 6th!
Join us at Mallow Run Winery (6964 W. Whiteland Rd, Bargersville) for a free summer concert! No reservations are necessary.
Music will be provided by the "Endless Summer Band". There will be a roped-off area where we can sit. Please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. You may bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Mallow Run products and food trucks will also be available for purchase.
Suggested arrival time is between 4:30-5:00 PM, with music being provided from 6:00-9:00 PM.

Risen Lord Montessori School
Registration is open for the 2022-2023 School Year. Please recommend this amazing school to friends, family, and neighbors!
The People’s Book Club
July is here and so is the opening of the movie "Where the Crawdads Sing." This movie is based on the book of the same name, which the Book Club read a while back.
Some folks are going to see the movie on Friday, July 15th, at 7:20 PM, at the Regal Greenwood Theater at the corner of Fry Road and Madison Avenue.
Others are going to Shallo's Restaurant for dinner at 5:45 PM before the show. Please email Nina at nina.eads@gmail.com if you'd like to join for dinner.
On another note, the next book for discussion will be "The Stranger in the LIfeboat" by Mitch Albom. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 20th at 6:30 PM, at Linda Darr's home. Everyone is welcome!
