Youth Kick-Off - This Sunday!
You're Invited! August 21st. All youth are invited to our fall kick-off event @ Rascal's Fun Zone. We will have a short parent meeting at church (New location!) at 12 pm. I will discuss the calendar and goals for the year and answer any questions. We will then head to Rascal's from 1-3 pm and return to the church around 3:30 for pickup.
Pizza, drinks, ice cream, and unlimited attractions (go-karts, bumper cars, mini-golf, etc.) are included for the kids during our time. They will also receive some tokens for the arcade.

Staying Connected
Ministry Update
As announced on Sunday, our interim Director of Children's Ministry, Sarah Smith, has received a promotion with her primary employer that will require additional travel. As such, she will be concluding her time on our church staff at the end of August. Thank you, Sarah, for your faithful service through this transition period. We hope to keep seeing your smiling face when you are in town!
Starting in September, Ryan Meek, our current Director of Youth Ministry, will also be absorbing the children's ministry portfolio and merging them into a new position: Minister to Families. We look forward to sharing more details about our children's ministry very soon.

Our children’s ministry is in need of volunteers!
As we prepare for the fall with the new space, we are in absolute need of more volunteers to help with Sunday School.
If God is calling you to serve, we would love your help! As our church and children’s ministry grow, we need volunteers to help chaperone children’s events and lead curriculum-driven activities for our kids during Sunday School (easy-to-follow materials provided).

2022 Women's Retreat
Attention all Ladies, there are still a few spots open for this year's Women's Retreat.
When: Friday, September 30, to Sunday October 2
Where: Walnut Ridge Retreat Center (half way between Morgantown and Brown County)
Theme: Being plugged in: Illuminating Faith (being plugged into faith, God’s word, and into life with one another.)
Cost: $150.00 (room and food)

August & September Outreach Donations
Tapestry will again be providing weekend food bags for students in need at Westwood Elementary School. Last school year we prepared 22 bags each week. If you are able to help, we will be collecting the following:
- Individual Mac & Cheese
- Chef Boyardee
- Cereal Containers
- Fruit Cups
- Applesauce Cups
- Granola Bars - NO PEANUT!
- Individual Fruit/Juice Drinks
- Pudding Cups
ALL ITEMS MUST BE NONPERISHABLE!

Wine at the Line
Get Ready for "Wine at the Line!" 5 mile run and 5K run/walk that begins and ends at Mallow Run Winery. Saturday, September 24th at 2 pm. Click Here to sign up online. This could be your reason to start getting in shape today! June 16 - September 23 registration entries are $40 with Race Day registration of $50. Tapestry is a sponsor and will have a booth. Proceeds from this walk/run benefit ‘Courageous Hearts Adoptions’. This organization works with mothers and hopeful adoptive parents here and across the country.
