Luke 22:31-34, 54-62
31 “Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you that your own faith may not fail, and you, when once you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” 33 And he said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death!” 34 Jesus said, “I tell you, Peter, the cock will not crow this day until you have denied three times that you know me.”
54 Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priest’s house. But Peter was following at a distance. 55 When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them. 56 Then a female servant, seeing him in the firelight, stared at him and said, “This man also was with him.” 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know him.” 58 A little later someone else, on seeing him, said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not!” 59 Then about an hour later still another kept insisting, “Surely this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean.” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about!” At that moment, while he was still speaking, the cock crowed. 61 The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the cock crows today, you will deny me three times.” 62 And he went out and wept bitterly.

Coffee and Conversation
Coffee and Conversation has begun meeting every Sunday from 10:00 - 10:45 am in room #3. Leaders will continue their rotation schedule on the second Sunday of each month; however, the other Sundays will be led by those in attendance using questions from the faith-based question box. Please join us for some interesting discussions and fellowship with one another.
Reminder: Youth Group this Sunday from 12-1:30!

Emily and Nathan Hawkins
Emily and Nathan have been worshiping with us since Spring 2022. When asked what they love most about Tapestry Emily's response was, “Social justice, inclusion, friendly, flexible, and worship band" Nathan responded with, "I feel like my family has been accepted and made welcome more than we have been in years. Our kids are special needs, we have dietary problems, social problems, sensory problems, etc. and we stand out a bit too much. I have friends and family members that are even less welcome in most churches, and it's made me run out of patience with intolerance and hatred in the name of "Christianity."

The Storefront is Available
The Tapestry Storefront (our former location) is still under our care and is available for use.
While some groups continue to use the space for meetings, we are also opening the building for any of you (or someone you know!) who may need a place to host a larger gathering. Consider using the space for your next birthday party, event, or gathering.
The Rohls recently hosted an event there, and this is what Brenda has to say: "With family events coming up in the next few months, the storefront is an excellent location to host if you don’t want to worry about getting your home ready! Plenty of parking!"
To reserve the space, you'll need to complete and submit a Request for Building Use form. Applicable fees may apply. Contact office@gototapestry.org to request the form.
The Peoples Book Club
The Peoples Book Club will meet on Tuesday, September 20th from 6:30 - 8 pm. We will meet at Linda Darr's home. The book title for discussion is "The Stranger in the Lifeboat" by Mitch Albom.
Synopsis: What would happen if we called on God for help and God actually appeared? In Mitch Albom’s profound new novel of hope and faith, a group of shipwrecked passengers pull a strange man from the sea. He claims to be “the Lord.” And he says he can only save them if they all believe in him. Adrift in a raft after a deadly ship explosion, ten people struggle for survival at sea. Three days pass. Short on water, food and hope, they spot a man floating in the waves. They pull him in. “Thank the Lord we found you,” a passenger says. “I am the Lord,” the man whispers. So begins Mitch Albom’s most beguiling novel yet.

The Best Part of Waking Up Continues
We are happy that more people are enjoying the coffee that is provided near the kitchen each Sunday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. We are using the church's coffee cups which are in labeled baskets as "Clean or Dirty".
We have also purchased a few lidded coffee cups IF you were wanting to take your coffee into the sanctuary (as we are asked to only take LIDDED cups into the sanctuary).
If there are no clean cups, feel free to look in the kitchen for the labeled cabinets above the sink. We appreciate your returning your used cups to the kitchen area when you are done.
May we continue the best part of waking up with church and coffee each Sunday morning!

Reach Out With Music
You are invited to a free musical concert on Saturday, September 24th at 7:00 p.m. at the University of Indianapolis Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center (1400 E Hanna Ave.) Music will be provided by the combined choirs of the University of Indianapolis and Castlewood Singers.
Several Tapestry Church members are part of the Castlewood Singers who have performed throughout the US and Europe.
We look forward to reaching out to each of you through music on the 24th!

Tapestry will again be providing weekend food bags for students in need at Westwood Elementary School. Last school year we prepared 22 bags each week. If you are able to help, we will be collecting the following:

- Applesauce Cups
- Granola Bars - NO PEANUT!
- Individual Fruit/Juice Drinks
- Pudding Cups
