Let’s Walk Together to End Hunger!

This Sunday, October 2, 2022, Tapestry and Risen Lord friends will participate in the Harvest Walk 2022. This event is a fundraiser for the InterChurch Food Pantry of Johnson County.

Plan to join us at 12:30 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin (walk location) for a picnic lunch. Bring your lunch, a chair or blanket, and break bread together. The cost to register is $25/individual or $40/family. You may donate even if you don’t participate in the Walk. Click Here to pre-register for the 1-mile or 3-mile walk

Same-day registration is available at 1:00 p.m. on October 2.

The walk begins at 2:00 p.m.

Service Project - October 1st

The youth group has an opportunity to help out at Outreach IN, which serves homeless teens on the east side of Indianapolis. Parents are welcome to join in as well. Check out their website HERE

We will leave Tapestry at 8:15 am and return around 12:45. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Thanksgiving Food Bags & Christmas Families

Are you feeling a calling to give of your time during this holiday season, while helping those who are in need? Do you have interest in helping to coordinate Thanksgiving Food Bags and/or Gifts for Adopted Christmas Families? If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Brenda Rohl (317) 847-3824) - your time & help would be greatly appreciated!

Church Work Day - October 22, 9AM

If you have a couple of hours to spare on a Saturday morning, please come join us for a little bit of fall “spring” cleaning. Trucks or trailers welcomed, as there are few larger items.

We are planning to make some room in our storage building by removing the items no longer necessary to store. Some items will be utilized in our new space and others will be sold or donated. Assessments are still being made on long term storage items.

Please RSVP below if you are available - and make plans to join us at the storage building (920 W County Line Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46217). We may even have donuts!

Tapestry Runners and Walkers Ministry

Are you a runner? A walker? Do you like to be active? Do you like donuts?! If you answered "Yes!" to any (or all) of those, you are invited to join a new ministry: "Tapestry Runners and Walkers (TRW)"!

TRW is a ministry group for runners, walkers, and anyone who wants to move! We will meet on Saturday mornings, once or twice per month, to run/walk/move for a few miles and then gather for community, coffee, and snacks.

Our first gathering is Saturday, October 1 at 7:30am at Tapestry (3758 W Whiteland Road, Bargersville). We have a 3.5-mile loop planned through Hickory Stick and then will gather at church for community, coffee, donuts, and snacks. Bring a friend and join us!

Coffee and Conversation

Coffee and Conversation has begun meeting every Sunday from 10:00 - 10:45 am in room #3. Leaders will continue their rotation schedule on the second Sunday of each month; however, the other Sundays will be led by those in attendance using questions from the faith-based question box. Please join us for some interesting discussions and fellowship with one another.

Reconciliation Offering

Your gifts to Reconciliation Ministry strengthens our Church’s witness to God’s unending love for all of humanity. With your generosity, leaders, communities, and our congregations are being equipped to witness to God’s love and justice in all times and in every season. The time is always ripe to stand up for justice to ensure that all of God’s children are treated equitably. Thank you for joining us on this journey through your generosity.
