Acts 8:26-38
26 Then an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Get up and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (This is a wilderness road.) 27 So he got up and went. Now there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of the Candace, the queen of the Ethiopians, in charge of her entire treasury. He had come to Jerusalem to worship 28 and was returning home; seated in his chariot, he was reading the prophet Isaiah. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over to this chariot and join it.” 30 So Philip ran up to it and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah. He asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 He replied, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to get in and sit beside him. 32 Now the passage of the scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter, and like a lamb silent before its shearer, so he does not open his mouth. 33 In his humiliation justice was denied him. Who can describe his generation? For his life is taken away from the earth.” 34 The eunuch asked Philip, “About whom, may I ask you, does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?” 35 Then Philip began to speak, and starting with this scripture he proclaimed to him the good news about Jesus. 36 As they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look, here is water! What is to prevent me from being baptized?” 38 He commanded the chariot to stop,
and both of them, Philip and the eunuch, went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

Trunk or Treat 2022
Sunday, October 30th, 4-6pm
We’ll gather at church this Sunday to hand out candy, hang out around the bonfire, and share God’s love with our community. In addition to handing out candy, we’ll be having hot dogs and s’mores as well as a costume contest!!
Group 1 - Pre and elementary school ages.
Group 2 - Middle and high school.
Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at 5:30.

Tapestry Runners and Walkers
Are you a runner? A walker? Do you like to be active? Do you like donuts?! If you answered "Yes!" to any (or all) of those, then you are invited to join our new group: "Tapestry Runners and Walkers (TRW)"!
TRW meets on select Saturday mornings to run/walk/move for a few miles and then gather for community, coffee, and snacks. We had a great time last week and look forward to having more of you join us on October 29th and November 19th at 7:30am. Come move with us!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rejoice!

We are excited that Tapestry continues to promote our Green Chalice mission as our recycling efforts expand. One way that we are committed to taking care of creation is by recycling. Risen Lord and Risen Lord Montessori School are also joining in our recycling efforts. You may have noticed two large containers in the Narthex and Fellowship Hall by the kitchen doors. One is labeled TRASH and the other is labeled RECYCLE. There are also blue recycle containers throughout the church. These containers will be emptied into a large Recycle Container and will be picked up by Ray’s Recycling each week.

- metal cans, aluminum foil, and aluminum foil pans

This November, Tapestry Church and Risen Lord Lutheran Church are considering together how God might be calling us to build our own bigger table and make room for those who are not yet here. Join us for this important series of sermons that will seek to open us to God’s ongoing expansion - and will culminate in a combined worship service on Sunday, November 20th
