2023 Lenten Devotionals
The theme for this year’s Lenten journey is “Elements.” The weekly messages will focus on different elements, or building blocks, of our religious lives, such as communion, baptism, the liturgical calendar, and sacred spaces. Why are these structures and rituals important to us? What other building blocks have been important in your faith?
We are asking you to take part in our daily Lenten devotionals by sharing a photo or song that represents an element of your religious life. Please email your photo or song to office@gototapestry.org. If you are sending a song, send a link to a publicly accessible performance, such as YouTube.
Daily emails will continue through Easter Sunday.
We hope it will make the journey through Lent more meaningful as we explore these building blocks with our church family.
Lenten book study
Join us for a Lenten book study! From local (Indianapolis) authors and pastors Ben Sternke and Matt Tebbe, we will dive into their book,
Having the Mind of Christ: Eight Axioms to Cultivate a Robust Faith.
This study will cover eight practical ways to deepen our walk with Jesus.
There will be two options for study:
1) Beginning February 28th, in-person meetings will be Tuesdays at 10am at Tapestry/Risen Lord in room in #3
2) Thursdays via Zoom, beginning March 2nd at 7pm.
This study will run for the six weeks of Lent and culminate in an in-person final meeting following our Maundy Thursday service on April 6th.
We have sold all of the discounted books we had in stock. If you need a copy of the book, you can find it at bookstores, Amazon, and Christianbook.com. Christian Books have a deeply discounted electronic version for $9.99. Click Here
