Ken and Janet Granger
This week for our member spotlight we are featuring Ken and Janet Granger. They shared the following stories about how they joined Tapestry.
Ken
One day my dear friend Sue Dykes called and asked if I could sub on bass guitar with the worship band at her church for "a few weeks". I had not played any music since our long-time home church, where I had served as contemporary music director for around fifteen years, ended our service a few months before. "A few weeks" has now turned into over six years, I'm no longer subbing, and it's not just her church, it's "my church", too.

Following my musician husband, Ken, who has "filled in" on the bass for Woven Worship, now for years, I began worshiping at Tapestry after our long-time UCC home church discontinued their contemporary service. I also played with the handbells just prior to the pandemic. However, during COVID I attended Tapestry exclusively via Zoom out of an abundance of caution. I have actually only gotten to worship in person regularly since last Fall, 2022--so I am fairly new in most respects. I have been around longer by association, but I am becoming acquainted!
