Risen Lord / Tapestry Spring Cleanup Day
Spring has sprung! To keep the landscape looking beautiful, Risen Lord and Tapestry are looking for volunteers to prune bushes, weed, edge, and distribute mulch and stone around the church grounds on Saturday, April 29th starting at 9AM. If you enjoy doughnuts, gardening, fresh air, and/or getting your hands dirty, please join us on what will hopefully be a fair weather day. Although the church has some gardening tools, additional wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, spades, and trimmers would be helpful. Risen Lord / Tapestry Lawn Maintenance
The lawn brigade is looking for fresh recruits to mow and/or trim the back forty of the church property. If you are interested in bouncing around on the Kubota zero-turn mower for three hours once a month or trimming grass around the trees, call or text Mike Zook at (317) 378-4464. Training will be provided.
Calling Volunteers!
Our nursery and children's ministries need volunteers. Recently, we have welcomed more families visiting with children in these age ranges. We are looking for volunteers who would be able to back up the Sunday school teacher and/or nursery in cases of overflow. Update on SAWS Build
The new and final date is May 13th. Please contact Dave Rohl at drohl@perryschools.org or 317-696-5182 if you are interested in helping. We will be working with the SAWS organization (Servants at Work) to build a ramp for a needy family to be able to enter and exit their home safely. NO experience or skills are necessary! We do not have a specific time, but it will be in the morning. We are typically done by noon. The number of volunteers will determine the build. Please contact Dave ASAP. Thanks!

Disciple Summer Mission
We will be making the trip to Kansas City from June 26-30, but there are some updates...
1. We have extended the deadline for the $100 deposit to May 7th. See link below.
2. We will be staying in dorms at Rockhurst University.
3. We will be attending a Kansas City Royals game one night!

If you plan to travel with us, please navigate to the DSM website and choose individual registration. It is now open, and I filled mine out in just a few minutes. Spread the word. Let friends and family members in the 6-12 (completed) grade ages know about this trip. As some of you know, this was an invaluable trip last year and an incredible experience.

April Outreach
During the month of April, Outreach will be collecting items for KIC-IT (Kids in Crisis Intervention Team) of Johnson County, who work to provide a network of support & empowerment for youth to break the cycle of homelessness & promote independence.
The Tapestry M&Ms usually ask for items to include in Hygiene Kits. However, KIC-IT has asked if for one month we could ask for cleaning supplies for their facility instead. So the following are requested donations if you are willing & able:

- We pray for and offer sympathy to Betty Bush’s family. Betty passed away on April 16th. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 1st at 6:00 at Wilson St. Pierre, 481 W. Main St. in Greenwood, with visitation preceding the service from 4 to 6 pm.
- We pray for Kent Bennett’s aunt, Leanna Dunn, who is in hospice.
- We pray for Tara Bradley as she waits on test results from recent medical testing.
- We pray for Sara Rohl, daughter-in-law of Dave and Brenda Rohl, and we give thanks that she has completed her chemo treatments.
- We pray for Betty Gaile Manlove as she deals with health concerns and grief.
A DAY TO CELEBRATE!
Sara Rohl has completed her last chemotherapy treatment! We now wait for blood test results, but want to thank you all for the prayers, cards, gifts, and surrounding our family with love during this journey. Please know you each helped us during the August 2022 - April 2023 time period.

Life with God
The good news of the gospel is that God is present with us, working in us and through us, no matter what we may face. The scriptures proclaim that God longed to be with us so much that God took on flesh and became one of us in Christ.
Jesus taught that life is supposed to be lived in relationship with God, yet we often allow faulty perceptions of our relationship with God to take over and alter this relationship.
Join us this May, as we explore some of these perceptions and consider what it means to truly live life with God.
