Numbers 20:1-12
The Israelites, the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people stayed in Kadesh. Miriam died there and was buried there. 2 Now there was no water for the congregation, so they gathered together against Moses and against Aaron. 3 The people quarreled with Moses and said, “Would that we had died when our kindred died before the Lord! 4 Why have you brought the assembly of the Lord into this wilderness for us and our livestock to die here? 5 Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to bring us to this wretched place? It is no place for grain or figs or vines or pomegranates, and there is no water to drink.” 6 Then Moses and Aaron went away from the assembly to the entrance of the tent of meeting; they fell on their faces, and the glory of the Lord appeared to them. 7 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 8 “Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and your brother Aaron, and command the rock before their eyes to yield its water. Thus you shall bring water out of the rock for them; thus you shall provide drink for the congregation and their livestock.” 9 So Moses took the staff from before the Lord, as he had commanded him. 10 Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Listen, you rebels; shall we bring water for you out of this rock?” 11 Then Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock twice with his staff; water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their livestock drank. 12 But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me, to show my holiness before the eyes of the Israelites, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.”

Staying Connected
SAWS Build
The SAWs build will take place this Saturday, May 13th. Please contact Dave Rohl at drohl@perryschools.org or 317-696-5182 if you are interested in helping. We will be working with the SAWS organization (Servants at Work) to build a ramp for a needy family to be able to enter and exit their home safely. NO experience or skills are necessary! Calling Volunteers!
Our nursery and children's ministries are still in need of volunteers. Recently, we have welcomed more families visiting with children in these age ranges. We are looking for volunteers who would be able to back up the Sunday school teacher and/or nursery in cases of overflow. Greenwood Pride

Book Club
The People's Book Club will meet Tuesday, May 16th at 6:30. The venue has changed. Due to a schedule conflict we will now be meeting at the home of Brenda Rohl. If anyone needs the address or directions please contact Brenda. We will be discussing the book “The Maid” by Nita Prose. All are welcome!
May Outreach
The Refuge has been seeing more clients in recent weeks, and therefore need help in stocking their shelves. During the month of May, Outreach will be collecting the following items for The Refuge Pantry:

Pasta Sauce (NO GLASS PLEASE!)
Boxes of Mac n Cheese
Rice-a-Roni
Dish Soap
Laundry Soap
Kleenex
Toilet Paper
You may leave your donations in the labeled containers at the front & side doors at church. Thank you for helping with this ministry!
Risen Lord / Tapestry Lawn Maintenance
The lawn brigade is looking for fresh recruits to mow and/or trim the back forty of the church property. If you are interested in bouncing around on the Kubota zero-turn mower for three hours once a month or trimming grass around the trees, call or text Mike Zook at (317) 378-4464. Training will be provided.
