Our guest preacher that Sunday is Dr. Peter Makari, Global Relations Minister, Middle East and Europe, for Global Ministries (a joint witness in mission between the Disciples of Christ and the United Church of Christ).

Following worship, there will be a brief Q&A session with Dr. Makari about his work in the Middle East and Tapestry's co-sponsorship of the upcoming General Assembly resolution regarding Israel and Palestine.

July Outreach

This is the story at The Refuge - more people are needing help with their food supply, and fewer food drives/donations are being supplied.

Youth Trip to King's Island!

Join us on July 18th for a trip to King's Island. We will leave Tapestry at 8 am and return around 7 pm.

The cost will be $50, which includes admission and free drinks. Please, bring money for lunch and extra spending money if needed. I'll set up an online payment portal at a later date.

Let Us 'Box' Bread Together

What a fun and inspiring afternoon several Tapestry members experienced at Midwest Food Bank. Eight volunteers from Owens and Minor, a global company based in Virginia, joined us in boxing breads. We boxed ALL of the trays of bread in record time working side by side and rockin' to music.

Please consider joining our Midwest volunteer group as we box donated breads for food pantries every third Tuesday of the month from 12:30-3:00 p.m.

Midwest Food Bank is located on the southside of Indianapolis.

Calling Volunteers!

Our nursery and children's ministries are still in need of volunteers. Recently, we have welcomed more families visiting with children in these age ranges. We are looking for volunteers who would be able to back up the Sunday school teacher and/or nursery in cases of overflow. Happy Summer

Tapestry Church is once again a sponsor for Mallow Run's Wine at the Line 5K run/walk on Saturday, Sept. 23rd at 2:00 p.m. We hope you will consider participating in the run/walk as the proceeds benefit the non-profit organization, Courageous Hearts Adoptions, by registering on Mallow Run's website at www.mallowrun.com.

Registration from June 16th through Sept. 22nd is $40.

Also, a benefit of Tapestry Church being a sponsor of Wine at the Line is that we receive several complimentary tickets to Mallow Run's ticketed summer concert series. If you are interested in attending any of the concerts listed below, tickets are available for the concerts in the church office in an envelope in Jane/John Kixmiller's mailbox. The tickets are available on a first come/first served basis. Enjoy!
