24 Do you not know that in a race the runners all compete, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win it. 25 Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one. 26 So I do not run aimlessly, nor do I box as though beating the air, 27 but I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified.

All Tapestry and Risen Lord Families are invited to join us on Saturday, August 5th at Mallow Run Winery (6964 W Whiteland Road) for a free concert!

This is a great chance to enjoy food, music, and each other. You may buy food from the food trucks or bring your own. Bring your own lawn chairs/blankets/non-alcoholic drinks.

Midwest Food Bank
Midwest Food Bank, a partner of Tapestry, is raising awareness and funds to fight hunger. There are three ways that the community can be engaged.
1. Businesses can sponsor the event. To find out more email: mluhigo@midwestfoodbank.org
2. Do you sell produce, baked items, or handmade products. We welcome vendors to sell at the event. For the form and information, email mluhigo@midwestfoodbank.org
3. Attend and enjoy the free event. Monument Circle, July 29 from 2-6pm.
"Welcome to Tapestry Church!"
We have several new people who are interested in becoming greeters so we are offering a Greeter Orientation/Training.
This training will be held on Sunday, July 30th from 10:30-11;00 a.m. for our new greeters as well as existing greeters. If you are interested in becoming a greeter, you are most welcome, too!
We will begin in Room 1 and then move to the computers in fellowship hall where the name badge computer process will be discussed. Feel free to bring any questions that you might have.
Thanks to all of you who have said yes to becoming a greeter as well as to our existing greeters. You are the best!
Pool Party!
Join us on Saturday, August 12th, from 12 to 2 PM at The Johnson's House (4181 Millstream Rd, Greenwood, IN 46143). All families and other church members are welcome for this opportunity for fun and fellowship.
We will provide pizza, drinks, and games! There will be a kiddie pool for the really young ones and a big one for the rest of us. If you have questions, please contact Ryan (ryan@gototapestry.org - 317.501.3866).

Congratulations!
Tapestry Church joins Risen Lord in celebrating the installation of Wendy Kalan as their pastor! She was formerly their interim pastor and accepted their call to remain at Risen Lord.
She will be officially installed on Sunday, July 30th, followed by a reception in the narthex, at which you may congratulate her.
Tapestry Church looks forward to our continued shared opportunities with Risen Lord.
- We celebrate the baby dedications of Sadie and Waylon Rollings this past Sunday in Woven Worship.
- We pray for Linda Darr’s nephew, Scott Mocco, as he recovers from a heart attack.
- We pray for Don Taylor as he recovers from cornea surgery on July 25th.
- We pray for Linda Rance, Marcie Luhigo’s mother, as she recovers from a fall
- We pray for Helen Hicks as she works through medical concerns.
- We pray for Betty Gaile Manlove as she deals with health concerns.
