22 He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! 25 And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to your span of life? 26 If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry about the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, you of little faith! 29 And do not keep seeking what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying. 30 For it is the nations of the world that seek all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. 32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give alms. Israel/Palestine: Q&A and Time for Prayer this Sunday between services
Earlier this summer Tapestry Church was one of the Co-Sponsors of the Compelled to Witness Resolution focused on Israel/Palestine. We mourn the terrible violence of the past two weeks in Israel/Palestine and ask for your prayers for our siblings in Palestine, Israel and the Middle East. We pray specifically for our church's partner Al Ahli Arab Christian Hospital which was bombed this week.
We also recognize that we have many questions as we hear such conflicting accounts in the news. This Sunday, October 22nd Cory Glover and Krista Johnson Weicksel will host a time for prayer and questions and answers about the current situation. Krista, as a Global Ministries staff member, will share updates from our partners in Gaza and Israel. In the meantime, here are recent updates regarding the Crisis in Israel/Palestine. This page is curated by Dr. Peter Makari, Global Relations Minister for the Middle East and Europe, who spoke at Tapestry earlier this summer.
If you feel led, here is an opportunity to send a letter to President Biden and your elected representatives calling for a ceasefire and for humanitarian aid to be allowed into Gaza, etc.

Trunk or Treat 2023
Sunday, October 29th, 4-6pm
We’ll gather at church to hand out candy, hang out around the bonfire, and share God’s love with our community. In addition to handing out candy, we’ll be having hot dogs and s’mores! How can you get involved?
1) Volunteer to provide a trunk! This is the most important part – you cannot have a Trunk or Treat without trunks! It’s actually quite simple: just decorate your trunk or truck bed and hand out candy. There are dozens of great ideas online. If this feels a little daunting, join up with a friend to do a trunk together!
2) Donate candy. If you cannot be there that night, you can always donate candy or money to purchase candy. This will be used to supplement the candy that each trunk provides.
3) Help with dinner. We’ll need lots of folks to assist with hotdogs and marshmallow roasting. It will take all of our combined efforts to make this a memorable event, so please consider which way you want to get involved!
Women's Retreat
Reminder for all the ladies who are registered for the women’s retreat, it’s this Saturday, October 21st from 8am to 3pm at The Sycamore at Mallow Run Winery.

Youth Service Project
On October 21st, Tapestry's youth will travel to Unconditional for a day of service and learning. We will leave Tapestry at 9:15 am and return around 1:00 pm. If you are an adult interested in joining us, please consider that we may need drivers. Let Ryan know if you can attend or are willing to drive (ryan@gototapestry.org). The RSVP deadline is October 19th.
