Matthew 14:13-21
13 Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a deserted place by himself. But when the crowds heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns. 14 When he went ashore, he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion for them and cured their sick. 15 When it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a deserted place, and the hour is now late; send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” 16 Jesus said to them, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” 17 They replied, “We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish.” 18 And he said, “Bring them here to me.” 19 Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. 20 And all ate and were filled, and they took up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. 21 And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Staying Connected
3rd Annual Ski Trip - 2024!
We will leave Tapestry for Perfect North at 7 am this Saturday, January 27th and return around 8 pm. This will allow us to ski from 9:30-5.
$75 per person will cover costs for transportation, lift tickets, rentals, ski school (if necessary), and dinner on the way home. Please bring $20 for lunch and drinks throughout the day.

Join The Tapestry Team For The Coldest Night Of The Year Walk!
The Refuge is encouraging Johnson and Marion County residents to bundle up and raise cold hard cash for the The Coldest Night Of the Year (CNOY) Walk. A family-friendly winter fundraising walk for Johnson and Marion County homeless, hungry, and hurting.
By walking together in the chill of the night, participants will better understand the experience of being on the streets during a cold winter, while raising funds to aid the work of The Refuge in providing much-needed support.
The walk will take place on February 24th at 5pm. Beginning and ending at Center Grove Church, 2340 S SR 135 Greenwood. Participants will walk a 2km or 5km route with toasty drinks at rest stops along the way. Check-in begins at 4pm.
Tapestry Church has set up a team and hopes that you will help us reach our goal of raising $600. CLICK HERE to join the Tapestry Team as a walker and or make a donation.

Tapestry Meet-n-Eat Groups
Have you been wanting to connect with other church members? Do you love to eat? Are you wanting to meet new people? If you answered YES to one or all of these questions then you should sign up to be in a Meet-n-Eat Group! Sign-ups will be for the next three weeks by either completing the online google form or signing up on Sunday at the check-in area. Groups will be created based on the information given at sign-up. Groups will be encouraged to meet a minimum of three times between mid-February to May. How and when groups meet will be determined by the Meet-n-Eat group members. We hope you will consider signing up and getting to know the Tapestry family! Please see Sandy Johnson or Marlene Glover for questions or more information.

During the month of January, Outreach will be collecting items to be used in making Hygiene Kits. Specifically:

Winter Warm Up at Mallow Run!
We're invited to warm up on Sunday, February 4th at Mallow Run Winery from noon to 6:00 p.m. We will enjoy ZESTY CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUP and FRESHLY BAKED BREAD for only $10!
Additional drinks and foods are available for purchase. Music will be provided by Craig Thurston from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Let's warm up together at Mallow Run on Sunday, Feb. 4th from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Winter Youth Retreat
"All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to the Winter Youth Retreat at Bedford Camp & Conference Center February 16-18. The Theme of Drawing the Circle will be presented by Alexis Tardy. Alexis is the Coordinator for Ministry with Youth and Young Adults for Disciples Home Missions.
This will be a great opportunity for Tapestry youth to learn with and get to know Disciple youth from around Indiana. Click below to register. Upon registration click the field to indicate that your church will receive the invoice. Tapestry will cover the entire cost of this retreat.

Thank you to Karri York, Jim Ream, John Kixmiller and all who attended Karri’s presentation. Her poetry and the music composed to accompany her poetry were shared and followed by insightful discussion.
