Forgive as we forgive
Matthew 18:21-35
21 Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if my brother or sister sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times. 23 “For this reason the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves. 24 When he began the reckoning, one who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him, 25 and, as he could not pay, the lord ordered him to be sold, together with his wife and children and all his possessions and payment to be made. 26 So the slave fell on his knees before him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.’ 27 And out of pity for him, the lord of that slave released him and forgave him the debt. 28 But that same slave, as he went out, came upon one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing him by the throat he said, ‘Pay what you owe.’ 29 Then his fellow slave fell down and pleaded with him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’ 30 But he refused; then he went and threw him into prison until he would pay the debt. 31 When his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their lord all that had taken place. 32 Then his lord summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked slave! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. 33 Should you not have had mercy on your fellow slave, as I had mercy on you?’ 34 And in anger his lord handed him over to be tortured until he would pay his entire debt. 35 So my heavenly Father will also do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

There will be a Maundy Thursday service on March 28th at 7pm at Union Christian Church, 1331 E 300 S, Franklin. Tapestry Church will be participating as well as several other Johnson County churches. All are welcome.

Risen Lord will be hosting a Good Friday Service.

All are invited to come alongside several Tapestry and FCC Bargersville youth as they take the big step of baptism in their faith journeys. Please join us to witness and celebrate this sacred event and affirm our collective commitment to living out the peace, justice, and love of Jesus Christ as a united church.

We are looking for a few people to bake homemade breads for our Easter breakfast on March 31st. Tea breads such as banana, apple, cinnamon but not limited to those three. If you would be willing to make a loaf for us please text Linda Dill 317-796-2642
Eclipse Plan
By now, you’ve likely heard that on the first weekend of April, we are expecting thousands of people to descend on Johnson County for the solar eclipse. Local officials have been preparing for months to handle this influx of people. Tapestry and Risen Lord have been preparing, too.
While we are not offering any programming or having any formal agenda, the church parking lot will be available for parking and the field will be available for viewing. We will also have the church open for bathroom access. If you do not already have plans, feel free to bring your own drinks/snacks, chairs, and glasses and join us in the field.
We are asking for everyone to refrain from parking on the grass and will have entry points to the field blocked off. Also, please be aware that schools are closed that day, and the roads may be congested for several hours before and after the eclipse.
Please be safe no matter how you plan to celebrate!
March Outreach
During the month of March, Outreach will be collecting for The Refuge food pantry. What are they in need of? When I asked this question, the response was "any nonperishable for our shelves - more is going out than is coming in".
Suggestions, but not limited to:
Canned Fruit
Vegetables
Soup
Meat
Peanut Butter
Pasta of any kind including rice
pasta sauce (NO GLASS PLEASE!)
Cereal

Rock the Block!
Rock the Block is a timed 10K, family friendly 5K walk/run, and a free kids run which will be held on Saturday April 27th at Center Grove High School. The 10K begins at 8:35 a.m. with the 5K beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tapestry Church is once again a sponsor. Also included is food, music, vendors, and awards.
This event, which began in 2015, is now sponsoring 18 nonprofit organizations in Johnson County. Since it began, more than $203,000 have been donated to these organizations that serve Johnson County youth and families as well as the Center Grove School Corporation. Two of these nonprofits are also a part of Tapestry Church's ongoing Outreach programs.
Early registration is available for $30 until midnight April 12th. The cost is then $35 until race day with the day of race cost being $40. You may register below for this wonderful day of family fun and exercise.

- We celebrate with Brandon Bennett as he received the Firefighter of the Year Award from the Greenwood Fire Department, Station 91.
- We offer our sympathy to the family of Betty Gaile Manlove. Her funeral service will be at noon on Saturday, March 16th with visitation from 11:00 until noon at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana.
- We offer our sympathy to Steve & Kelly Campbell and their family upon the passing of Steve’s father, Phil Campbell. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 followed by a funeral service at 7:00 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
