God-Breathed.
The Bible refers to itself as God-breathed. Some translations try to convey that idea by using the word inspired. What is this ancient collection of writings and what new life or inspiration is God seeking to breathe into us as we engage it?
Why the Bible Matters
Deuteronomy 6:1-9
“Now this is the commandment—the statutes and the ordinances—that the Lord your God charged me to teach you to observe in the land that you are about to cross into and occupy, 2 so that you and your children and your children’s children may fear the Lord your God all the days of your life and keep all his decrees and his commandments that I am commanding you, so that your days may be long. 3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe them diligently, so that it may go well with you and so that you may multiply greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. 4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. 7 Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. 8 Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, 9 and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Staying Connected
Eclipse Plan
Next Monday, April 8th, the church parking lot will be available for parking and the field will be available for viewing. We will also have the church open for bathroom access. If you do not already have plans, feel free to bring your own drinks/snacks, chairs, and glasses and join us in the field.
We are asking for everyone to refrain from parking on the grass and will have entry points to the field blocked off. Also, please be aware that schools are closed that day, and the roads may be congested for several hours before and after the eclipse.
Please be safe no matter how you plan to celebrate!
April Outreach
During the month of April, Tapestry Outreach will be collecting for Resources of Hope, which is a ministry helping foster and kinship families.
Resources of Hope has a need for:

The shelves at The Refuge were becoming bare, and Tapestry, yet again, rose to help. During the month of March, Tapestry donated 411.4 lbs. of food! The community you helped is very appreciative!
Poverty Simulation
May 4th @ 9 am-Noon
Tapestry's Christian Education Team is hosting an eye-opening interactive learning experience facilitated by Circles Indy. This learning experience sensitizes participants to the reality and challenges of people living in poverty in our community. Participants will work together as members of low-income families to determine how to survive with little to no money, few resources, emergencies, health issues, and more.

M&M’s
M&M’s (Mary & Martha) will meet on Tuesday, April 9th, at 11AM in room 4. This month’s lesson is on John 9:1-38 “He opened my eyes ..Seeing God healing work”. The lesson will be led by Joanne Underwood. All women of the church are invited to attend.
Risen Lord / Tapestry Spring Cleanup Day
Spring has sprung! To keep the grounds looking beautiful, Risen Lord and Tapestry are looking for volunteers to prune bushes, weed, edge, and distribute mulch on Saturday, April 20th starting at 9:00 am. If you enjoy doughnuts, gardening, fresh air, and/or getting your hands dirty, please join us on what will hopefully be a fair weather day. Although the church has some gardening tools, additional wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, spades, and trimmers would be helpful. Rock the Block!
Rock the Block is a timed 10K, family friendly 5K walk/run, and a free kids run which will be held on Saturday April 27th at Center Grove High School. The 10K begins at 8:35 a.m. with the 5K beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tapestry Church is once again a sponsor. Also included is food, music, vendors, and awards.
This event, which began in 2015, is now sponsoring 18 nonprofit organizations in Johnson County. Since it began, more than $203,000 have been donated to these organizations that serve Johnson County youth and families as well as the Center Grove School Corporation. Two of these nonprofits are also a part of Tapestry Church's ongoing Outreach programs.
Early registration is available for $30 until midnight April 12th. The cost is then $35 until race day with the day of race cost being $40. You may register below for this wonderful day of family fun and exercise.

Lawn Crew Volunteers Needed
Time again to sharpen the mower blades and revive the Risen Lord/Tapestry Lawn Crew. As always, this prestigious and celebrated group is looking for new recruits. No experience is needed; training will be provided for all newcomers. If mowing is not your forte, but you have a green thumb, your participation is welcome too! Church gardeners and landscapers are held in high esteem. Please contact Mike Zook if you want to join the team or if you have a family member you’d like to get out of the house for a few hours every 4 to 6 weeks. Tapestry Church has been so warm and helpful to me during my recent hospitalization of 21 days. John and Jane Kixmiller visited me several times and offered prayers. I never expected to have a medical issue and recuperate at home. Thank you to all the ladies on the "Care" team who brought me food. Living alone and not able to stand up long enough to fix a meal or drive to a grocery store, their generous meals were so appreciated. These women helped me to recuperate and return to a wonderful, supportive Church congregation.
