Celebrating Carolyn Reed
Join us this Sunday, April 28th, as we will be celebrating the ministry of Carolyn Reed, our current and soon-to-be-retiring Associate Regional Minister. Carolyn will be with us in worship for both services, and we will have a special reception in her honor between services during our normal fellowship time.
For those of you who are not aware, Carolyn was the first seminary student to ever serve at Tapestry. We also served as a sponsoring congregation for her ordination. She has deep connections with our church and has a long history as an advocate and friend.
Here is her full bio:
Carolyn Reed began her ministry with the Indiana Region on May 10, 1999. Her work is focused on building relationships among pastors and congregations throughout the region. This ministry includes Search and Call and designing a variety of congregational transformation and conversation processes.
Carolyn also gives support to the Commission on Ministry.
Prior to her ministry with the Region, she served as a congregational minister with Tapestry Church (then Southport Christian Church); South Side Christian Church, Kokomo; First Christian Church, Chico, CA; and Geist Christian Church, Indianapolis.
Carolyn has a B.A. from The University of Indianapolis and a M.Div. from Christian Theological Seminary. She and her husband, Bill, have two adult sons, Ryan and Zachary, and one adorable granddaughter, Reese.

Rock the Block!
Saturday April 27th
Rock the Block is a timed 10K, family friendly 5K walk/run, and a free kids run which will be held this Saturday April 27th at Center Grove High School. Tapestry participants are meeting at 8:15 at the northeast entrance for a group photo. The 10K begins at 8:35 a.m. with the 5K beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tapestry Church is once again a sponsor. Also included is food, music, vendors, and awards.

Coming in May
Fresh off of our series on the Bible, we are going to be exploring some ideas that you definitely won’t find in it. We all have our personal viewpoints and beliefs. We even have our own views about God (theology). What happens when we allow cultural, political, and non-biblical ideas to creep into our minds? Quite frankly, the results can be disastrous for us, for others, and for the world around us. Join us this month as we seek to explore and eradicate some toxic theologies from our midst.
