Peer Ministry
Young people usually turn to their peers first when they are hurting or going through a difficult time. Learn about an empowering youth ministry that teaches children and youth how to connect with others through caring conversations and so much more.

Join Pastors Wendy and Ryan as we host parents and grandparents of young people in grades 3-12 to learn more about Peer Ministry Leadership. This is an hour you’ll be glad you spent learning how we can affirm and nurture our children in faith and Christ’s love. We can’t wait for you all to meet each other!

Youth & Parent Call Out
Join us for a pickleball tournament at the Greenwood Fieldhouse on Sunday, September 8th from 1-3 pm! Bring a friend!
We will provide snacks and drinks and have a quick parent meeting before the games begin. Ryan will outline the upcoming youth calendar and provide some key dates.
No pickleball paddle? No worries, we will have plenty. See you at the Fieldhouse! (411 S Madison Ave, Greenwood)

Women's Retreat
Save the Date: Women's Event, Saturday, October 5 from 9am to 3pm @ Tapestry Church. Guest Speaker: Gina Huff, Topic: Resilience in the Face of Change based on the verse from Romans 12:2 (TPT). Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God's will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect (mature) in God's eyes.
Cost: $25.00 per person includes light breakfast/lunch.

August Outreach
Our Outreach support for August will go to Habitat for Humanity.
Habitat for Humanity of Johnson County helps those in need of a home through monetary and time donations as well as sweat equity from the future home owner. Tapestry will be a partner in the 2024 build during September. Being a partner means Tapestry agrees to pay $6,000 toward the build and supply volunteers for 1 day. Tapestry has been assigned Saturday, 9/21/24, as our volunteer day. Stay tuned for more information.
We have a goal of raising $2,000 to help with this September build through August Outreach donations. Rather than a donation of products during August, if you are able, we are asking that you either use the drop down menu online to donate and choose Habitat for Humanity, or place a donation in either offering box in the sanctuary or Fellowship Hall with Habitat for Humanity designated as the recipient.

Annual Women's Event
The Indiana Women’s Council of the Christian Church in Indiana invites all Disciples Women to the Annual Women's Event!
When: Saturday, September 21, 2024; 10am-5pm (EDT)
Where: Turkey Run State Park – Lodge
Keynoter: Rev. Sylvia Mill
Cost: $45 includes lunch, snack and entry fee into the park
If you are a Disciple and you are a woman, you are a Disciples Woman!
75 years ago, Disciples Women from around the country gathered at Turkey Run State Park here in Indiana to dream about the future of women’s ministry. This fall, we will follow in their footsteps.
Join other Disciples Women from around the Indiana Region for a day to “Rejoice & Renew.” Together we will Honor our Heritage and Embrace the Future of Women’s Ministry in Indiana. Keynoter, Rev. Sylvia Mill, will offer reflections on where we have been followed by an afternoon of dreaming and visioning into the future. There will be plenty of time for fellowship, exploring the trails of Turkey Run State Park (or just enjoying some time outside), lunch, and worship. (Women’s groups are invited to bring their Blessing Box money to this event.) Hope to see you there!
