We can choose a better way

Matthew 1:18-25

18 Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be pregnant from the Holy Spirit. 19 Her husband Joseph, being a righteous man and unwilling to expose her to public disgrace, planned to divorce her quietly. 20 But just when he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet: 23 “Look, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” which means, “God is with us.” 24 When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him; he took her as his wife 25 but had no marital relations with her until she had given birth to a son, and he named him Jesus.

Christmas Party for Risen Lord and Tapestry Children, Youth and Their Families

When? This Sunday, December 15^th at 10:45-12:15pm

Where? Please gather in the fellowship hall around 10:45 am for a couple of gathering games.

Who? Children, Youth (from preschoolers to high school) and their families from both congregations are welcome.

What? Join us for games, pizza, Christmas cookie-decorating and making new connections.

2025 “Extra Mile” Stewardship Campaign

2025 Stewardship “Extra Mile” Campaign Update

Our congregation has been extremely generous in responding to the "Extra Mile" campaign as $35,000 has already been committed toward the $50,000 goal of additional pledges needed to fully fund next year's church budget. This budget includes operating support for our jointly-owned church facility as well as growth in Tapestry’s many programs and ministries.

Thanks to all who have already made an additional commitment to support Tapestry's growing and inclusive ministry here in Johnson County and beyond.

We have $15,000 to go, and so we ask that you prayerfully consider what additional financial commitment you can make and then complete the 2025 pledge card linked below. When you do, only indicate your additional amount as your previous commitment for 2025 has already been recorded. Thank you.

Dear Tapestry Church Family,

Each year at this time we have an opportunity to offer gifts of appreciation to the members of our church staff in the form of Christmas bonuses.

Please offer your gifts over the next few weeks either online or in an envelope for worship marked “Staff Christmas Gifts.” You can also send your gift by mail to the church office prior to December 15th.

Offering these Christmas gifts to staff is a long-standing tradition of ours and I know it means a lot to our staff members. Please join my family in offering these gifts of love and appreciation during this special season.

The music ministries are looking forward to sharing Christmas Eve together for Cookies and Carols at 6pm! There will be a variety of music throughout the hour! Please invite a friend and join the celebration of the “Coming of Christ”

Christmas Cookie Bakers

Once again, Risen Lord and Tapestry will be sharing in fellowship with Christmas cookies and carols between the 5pm and 7pm Christmas Eve worship services. If you enjoy Christmas baking, we will enjoy tasting your Christmas cookie creations! Use the sign-up sheet at church and bring a couple dozen (or more) Christmas cookies for the festivities. Cookies can be delivered to the kitchen starting Sunday, December 22nd. If you have questions, contact Linda Dill at mammypickle@yahoo.com.
