39 In those days Mary set out and went with haste to a Judean town in the hill country, 40 where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit 42 and exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 43 And why has this happened to me, that the mother of my Lord comes to me? 44 For as soon as I heard the sound of your greeting, the child in my womb leaped for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her by the Lord.” 56 And Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home.

The music ministries are looking forward to sharing Christmas Eve together for Cookies and Carols at 6pm! There will be a variety of music throughout the hour! Please invite a friend and join the celebration of the “Coming of Christ”

Christmas Cookie Bakers
Once again, Risen Lord and Tapestry will be sharing in fellowship with Christmas cookies and carols between the 5pm and 7pm Christmas Eve worship services. If you enjoy Christmas baking, we will enjoy tasting your Christmas cookie creations! Use the sign-up sheet at church and bring a couple dozen (or more) Christmas cookies for the festivities. To honor the arrival of baby Jesus, Tapestry Outreach will be collecting the following baby items on Sunday, 12/22 & Christmas Eve, 12/24, for Resources of Hope - a ministry providing items to foster and kinship youth in need:

Angel Tree
WOW! I can't think of a better word right now. Your generosity and creativity in providing gifts for our angels on the tree was outstanding! All the gifts were returned on time. It is a joy to put these gifts together for each family, and pray for them. Thank you, and God bless you all.
After dropping off gifts at The Refuge collected by Tapestry members, these Tapestry elves helped fill stockings that will be donated to families in need this year!
Such a community effort & blessing - stockings sewn by a Sewing Guild, items donated by individuals/churches/businesses, stockings filled by Tapestry members, and bags of donated gifts ready to be picked up by families
2025 Youth Ski Trip!
We will leave Tapestry for Perfect North at 7 am on January 11th and return around 8 pm that evening. This will allow us to ski from 930-5.
$95 per person will cover costs for transportation, lift tickets, rentals, ski school (if necessary), and dinner on the way home. Please bring $20 for lunch and drinks throughout the day.

Christmas Offering
Our gifts support the work of regional ministries this Christmas. Your regional ministry works to:
Connect congregations to each other
Foster faith development
Gather Disciples in camps, conferences, and assemblies
Nurture the development of a new generation of pastors
Assist churches in calling new ministers
Interpret the global mission of the Church
Represent the Church in ecumenical gatherings
Counsel and pray with those who are troubled of spirit
Lead the Church to address racism
Inspire leaders to experiment and create
Witness to the power of God to make things new
The Christmas Special Day offering supports all of these and many other ministries of our regions

- We pray for and offer our sympathy to the family of Jo Allen who passed away on December 16th. Visitation will be on Monday, December 23rd from 4:00 to 7:00 at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Rd. 135 in Greenwood. A private burial service will be held at a later time.
