Join us this Sunday as we begin the series, Friction.
Some people are just hard to like. They push our buttons with what they say, do, or even believe. They can challenge us in ways that are uncomfortable. When we try to speak to them, we don’t feel heard, so conversation is difficult. Other times they say things that test our patience, trigger our anxieties, contradict our values, or just make us angry.
One thing is certain…it happens to all of us. Relationships go awry, friends disappoint, family frustrates, and coworkers annoy. Some people just bring out the worst in us. And the temptation is often to unfollow, unfriend, and just walk away. But then, there is Jesus, inviting us to imagine something different. Challenging us to love our enemies.
Join us this January as we seek to overcome the friction and learn to love people we don’t like.

We will leave Tapestry for Perfect North at 7 am on January 11th and return around 8 pm that evening. This will allow us to ski from 930-5.
$95 per person will cover costs for transportation, lift tickets, rentals, ski school (if necessary), and dinner on the way home. Please bring $20 for lunch and drinks throughout the day.

The 2025 Winter Tune Up Series
As a new year begins, it’s often a time when we think about our lives and the changes that we might need to consider in order to be as spiritually and emotionally healthy as we can be. In our Tuesday morning study group beginning in January until Lent begins on March 5th, we’re going to be discussing what might need to be “tuned up” in our spiritual and emotional lives as we share in classes that make up our 2025 Winter Tune Up Series.
Using scripture passages along with selected articles from Simplify Digital Magazine, we’ll be reflecting upon topics that will help us assess how our Divine Spark is functioning. We’ll also be checking the air in our tires to see if our lives are “overfilled” or on the “low side” as we reflect upon how Jesus calls us to live.
We hope you will join us beginning Tuesday, January 7th at 10:00 in room #3, as we kick off this new series.
