Acts 4:18-21; 27-31
18 So they called them and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in God’s sight to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge; 20 for we cannot keep from speaking about what we have seen and heard.” 21 After threatening them again, they let them go, finding no way to punish them because of the people, for all of them praised God for what had happened.
27 “For in this city, in fact, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the gentiles and the peoples of Israel, gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, 28 to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place. 29 And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness, 30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.

Time to Ramp Things Up Tapestry!
Every year our congregation embarks on partnering with the SAWS (Servants At Work) organization to provide a ramp for a needy resident in Johnson County. It is a tremendous experience not only for the recipient, but for all who participate in the build as well. Each year we try to fund a build and then also build one ourselves.
We are hoping that you will join us during the month of June in sending in donations that will help to provide the funds for SAWS to purchase the materials to provide another ramp to a deserving family.
This particular period of time is very important as the need has grown tremendously over the past year.
There are several ways to make your donation:
- Use the drop down menu on our Tapestry website and choose “SAWS Fund”2.
- Leave a check in the drop box at church with SAWS in the memo
- If cash is your preference, please place your donation in an envelope clearly marked for SAWS Fund

Tapestry Personnel Committee
End of May/June greetings from the Tapestry Personnel Committee! We want to let you in on a little project to lift up our dedicated Staff members here at Tapestry and let them know how much they are seen and appreciated in so many ways. Over the summer months look for the display outside of the worship areas.
During weeks throughout the summer, we will be highlighting all of our valued Staff members in "clusters" (look for their photos!) to be up and displayed for a few weeks at a time to give you a chance to add to the display-a Summer Salute to Staff, if you will! We are asking for everyone's input by writing thoughtful descriptive words, adjectives, stories, phrases or notes that help describe that staff member in provided "thought bubbles" to be displayed on a dedicated board of Staff Members. All of the word balloons and clouds from each group will then be compiled at the end of summer to create a Word Cloud of all of the accumulated descriptive words that will represent what our Church Staff means to us as a whole.
Please join in this creative process to show our staff just how much we care about and appreciate them and their work in a myriad of ways for not only our congregation, but also for the wider community and our world.

Mission Trip 2025 - Christmount
Join us July 7-12 for a service trip to Christmount in Black Mountain, NC. We will help the folks at Christmount and surrounding areas in the long recovery following Hurricane Helene last fall.
The cost is $250 for a family of four ($50/person over 4) and $100 for individuals. A $50 deposit will hold your spot for the trip. We will have an informational meeting on June 1st @ 10:30 am in the Woven Space. The deadline to register is June 14.
