Join us this Sunday as we begin the series, A Life of Meaning: Wisdom from Proverbs

We all have moments in life where we need some good advice, some reassuring guidance, or maybe just a comforting word. In these moments, we lean on others, who likely have gleaned wisdom from a lifetime of experiences and hard-won knowledge.

The Hebrew Bible book of Proverbs is a lot like this. Its ancient wisdom, passed down from our spiritual ancestors, seeks to help guide our modern-day journeys. Join us for this series, as we lean on the wisdom of the Proverbs and seek to find a life of meaning.

Meaningful Reflection

Proverbs 1:1-7, 2:2-6

1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: 2 For learning about wisdom and instruction, for understanding words of insight, 3 for gaining instruction in wise dealing, righteousness, justice, and equity; 4 to teach shrewdness to the simple, knowledge and prudence to the young— 5 let the wise, too, hear and gain in learning and the discerning acquire skill, 6 to understand a proverb and a figure, the words of the wise and their riddles. 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction

2 making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding, 3 if you indeed cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, 4 if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures— 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;

2026 Stewardship

Each fall, we ask everyone to make a tangible commitment of their time and resources for the upcoming year. This helps us to better plan for the ways in which we feel God calling us to serve together, and it helps us to responsibly steward our resources in order to fund those ministries.

Advent Book Study

A book study on Voices of Advent by Matthew Skinner will meet Tuesday mornings at 10:00am in Room 3 on November 18, December 2, 9 and 16. Join us for a rich biblical journey through the season of Advent, listening to prophets, poets, angels, and visionaries who speak of hope, longing, and divine promise. This study explores how Scripture shapes our anticipation of Christ’s coming and deepens our celebration of Christmas. Join us as we reflect on these voices and prepare our hearts for the story of Jesus. Please sign up at the welcome tables. Books are available for $15.
