Fall Bread Sampling

Starting at 9:30am, come early to enjoy a sampling of delicious fall breads.

Then, at 10:00 am, all three existing worship services will join together for one combined service in the Sanctuary.

Advent Decorating

Lastly, following the combined worship service, we need volunteers from both congregations to stick around and help us decorate our building for the Advent season. The more folks that stick around, the less time it will take!

We look forward to joining in shared worship and fellowship this Sunday, Nov. 23rd, as we give thanks for our many blessings!

Dear Tapestry Church Family,

Each year at this time we have an opportunity to offer gifts of appreciation to the members of our church staff in the form of Christmas bonuses.

Please offer your gifts over the next few weeks either online or in an envelope for worship marked “Staff Christmas Gifts.” You can also send your gift by mail to the church office prior to December 15th.

Offering these Christmas gifts to staff is a long-standing tradition of ours and I know it means a lot to our staff members. Please join my family in offering these gifts of love and appreciation during this special season.

500 pounds of food was delivered to The Refuge this week! We more than surpassed our goal. Your donations will be used to pass out entire Thanksgiving dinners to those in need.

Christmas Angel Tree

Are you looking for a way to help children this holiday season? Our Christmas angel tree can provide you with specific suggestions for families from The Refuge. Each ornament on the tree represents one gift item for a child. The child's age and gender are listed to aid in your purchase decision. Each unwrapped gift should be returned to Tapestry by Sunday, 12/14 and placed near the angel tree. Tape your ornament or number of your ornament to the gift.

You can also pick your ornament online by Clicking Here. (The physical ornament will get pulled from the tree at church ASAP). Please fill in the information on the form with your name and phone number. Make sure you write down the ornament number, so you can tape it to the gift. Thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness in providing a joy-filled Christmas to these families!

M&M’s

M&M’s (Mary &Martha) Women’s Group will visit the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center (450 W. Ohio St. Indianapolis 46204) on December 9th. The History Center hosts the Festival of Trees and a variety of exhibitions on Indiana History. After touring the museum, we will have lunch in the Stardust Terrace Cafe. Tickets are $20.00 (Adults), $19.00 (Seniors - over 60), $5.00 (Youth 5-17). You can order your tickets online or purchase them at the museum. We will meet at the church at 10:30am to carpool. All women of the church are welcome to join us.

Advent Book Study

A book study on Voices of Advent by Matthew Skinner will meet Tuesday mornings at 10:00am in Room 3 on December 2, 9 and 16. Join us for a rich biblical journey through the season of Advent, listening to prophets, poets, angels, and visionaries who speak of hope, longing, and divine promise. This study explores how Scripture shapes our anticipation of Christ’s coming and deepens our celebration of Christmas. Join us as we reflect on these voices and prepare our hearts for the story of Jesus. Please sign up at the welcome tables. Books are available for $15. Thanksgiving Offering

The Thanksgiving Offering benefits the Colleges, Universities, Seminaries, and Divinity Houses affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Higher education has been an important focus for Disciples since the very beginning of the movement. Throughout our history, Disciples have founded institutions of higher learning to educate students and form leaders to make a difference in the world. The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is still committed to higher education. Your gift to the Thanksgiving Offering helps support the education of thousands of students at our fifteen colleges and universities as well as our seven seminaries and divinity houses.
