Join us this Sunday as we begin our Advent series,

Christmas at the Movies, Volume 3.

There is something truly magical about the Christmas season, and few things help get us in the Christmas spirit like our favorite Christmas movies.

For Advent this year, we will once again be looking at four more iconic Christmas movies and reminding ourselves of the timeless Advent themes of hope, peace, joy, and love.

Dear Tapestry Church Family,

Each year at this time we have an opportunity to offer gifts of appreciation to the members of our church staff in the form of Christmas bonuses.

Please offer your gifts over the next few weeks either online or in an envelope for worship marked “Staff Christmas Gifts.” You can also send your gift by mail to the church office prior to December 15th.

Offering these Christmas gifts to staff is a long-standing tradition of ours and I know it means a lot to our staff members. Please join my family in offering these gifts of love and appreciation during this special season.

Staying Connected

Christmas Angel Tree

Update on our Angel tree....53 presents of our 84 ornaments have already been "snagged" by generous folks! The options to take an ornament with a child's age and suggested gift item can be done by Clicking Here or off our Angel tree at church. Presents should be returned no later than 12/14, unwrapped with the ornament number attached. Place the gifts under the Angel tree or in the bins next to the entry doors where other donations are placed. Thank you!

Volunteer Opportunity

Thank you to Vicki Heidenreich, Amy Massey, Janet McCrea and Diane Johnson who provided food for the volunteers at The Refuge, Monday 11/24. The volunteers needed the energy to hand out Thanksgiving "baskets" to clients after lunch! Another opportunity to volunteer at The Refuge is Monday, 12/15 at 9 am to stuff stockings for the children who receive gifts from a multitude of Angel trees. Let Paula Peterson (463)271-0353 know if you are available and interested in helping with this project.

New Ministry Initiative

The Oversight Team of Tapestry Church is pleased to announce a new initiative aimed at strengthening our “threads” and deepening our relationships with one another. We now have two tickets to select Indiana Pacers games throughout the remainder of the 25-26 season.

Anyone may request use of the tickets, and they will be awarded at random based on the number of requests.

We simply ask that you use the tickets in one of two ways:

1) Take someone you don’t know that well within Tapestry, with the intention of getting to know one another better.

2) Take someone outside Tapestry who doesn’t have a church home, with the intention of sharing a bit about Tapestry with them.

Book Club

The People’s Book Club had a wonderful time at their last meeting of 2025! The book club welcomes anyone interested in reading. Meetings will resume in January. Keep an eye out for future announcements in the e-news.

M&M’s

M&M’s (Mary &Martha) Women’s Group will visit the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center (450 W. Ohio St. Indianapolis 46204) on December 9th. The History Center hosts the Festival of Trees and a variety of exhibitions on Indiana History. After touring the museum, we will have lunch in the Stardust Terrace Cafe. Tickets are $20.00 (Adults), $19.00 (Seniors - over 60), $5.00 (Youth 5-17). You can order your tickets online or purchase them at the museum. We will meet at the church at 10:30am to carpool. All women of the church are welcome to join us.

Advent Book Study

A book study on Voices of Advent by Matthew Skinner will meet Tuesday mornings at 10:00am in Room 3 on December 2, 9 and 16. Join us for a rich biblical journey through the season of Advent, listening to prophets, poets, angels, and visionaries who speak of hope, longing, and divine promise. This study explores how Scripture shapes our anticipation of Christ’s coming and deepens our celebration of Christmas. Join us as we reflect on these voices and prepare our hearts for the story of Jesus. Please sign up at the welcome tables. Books are available for $15. Location: Greenwood High School Performing Arts Center, 615 W. Smith Valley Rd.

Classic and modern Christmas carols. Special performances by Castlewood Singers, Greater Greenwood Community Band, and Greenwood High School Jade and Rhapsody Choirs.

Admission is free, however you are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Interchurch Food Pantry. Let’s come together to share in the warmth and joy of the season. We look forward to celebrating with you and making this a memorable Christmas for all.
