Babel

Genesis 11:1-9

Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. 2 And as they migrated from the east, they came upon a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and fire them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves; otherwise we shall be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” 5 The Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which mortals had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Look, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do; nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language there, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore it was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth, and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

New Ministry Initiative

Despite a rough start to the year, following the loss of their best player in Game 7 of last year’s NBA finals, the Pacers play one of the most exciting brands of basketball in the league. Any night spent at the Fieldhouse is still an opportunity for a good time.

Tapestry Church now has access to two tickets to select Indiana Pacers games throughout the remainder of the 25-26 season. We encourage you to use them to help strengthen our “threads” and deepen our relationships with one another.

Anyone may request use of the tickets, and they will be awarded at random based on the number of requests.

M&Ms

M&Ms (Mary & Martha) will meet on January 13th at 11am in room #3. After a brief business meeting and fellowship, we will continue with our Bible study. Our Bible study this month is Messy People of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). We will be studying the life and teachings of Alexander Campbell. All women of the church are invited to attend!

The People's Book Club

The People's Book Club will meet on Tuesday, January 20th at 6:30pm at Lisa Fultz's home. We will be discussing the book The Briar Club by Kate Quinn. All are invited!

Bible Study

"Voice + Light" a Bible study on John the Baptist. Join us on Tuesdays in January at 10am in Room #3.
