Backpack Blessing!
This Sunday, August 9th we will have our annual Backpack Blessing for our students’ backpacks as well as our educators’ briefcases/backpacks. This will be done during the Woven service. We will also provide donuts and snow cones between services. Please join us as we celebrate our students and educators on August 9th.
Staying Connected
Family Fun Night at Mallow Run
All are invited to a family friendly free summer concert at Mallow Run Winery this Saturday, August 8th. The music of ‘Living Proof’ will begin at 6:00pm with food trucks arriving at 5:00pm. Look for our roped off area on the lawn. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and/or your own food and non-alcoholic beverages. See you there!
August Outreach
School is back in session. Please help us stock the Indian Braves food pantry with cereal and instant oatmeal packets.
Batter Up - Baseball, Fireworks, Fellowship!
Please join us for our annual Indianapolis Indians baseball game on Friday, September 11th. Tickets are $15 for box seats or $9.00 for lawn, if we meet the group minimum of 25 tickets. Please RSVP to Linda Speziale before September 1st by calling or texting 317-965-6317. She will respond on August 31st.

Habitat for Humanity Fall Build
On September 12th, Tapestry Church will be participating in the 2026 Johnson County Habitat for Humanity Fall Build in Franklin, IN. We are looking for 8-10 individuals to participate in the build. Tentative activities on the 12th are installation of soffits and corner boards (subject to change). To register, go to: https://give.habitatjc.org/ge/tapestry. If possible, please register by Aug. 9th so that T-shirts can be ordered. Tapestry will be serving a light breakfast and offering a short devotional on the 12th at the build site. M&M’s
M&M’s (Martha & Martha) will meet on August 11th at 11AM to plan the 2026-2027 Bible Study and other activities. We are hoping to welcome new people to our women’s fellowship. M&Ms is for women in the church who wants to study the Bible, meet new friends and learn how we can help our community. Our Bible Study will be on the book “More Messy People” by Jennifer Cowart. We will be studying Leah and Rachel, Moses, Elijah, Mary and Martha, Peter, and Paul. Books are availability at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Cokesbury Christian Books. Please join us for this exciting Bible Study!
Book Club
The People’s Book Club (as in ALL ARE WELCOME TO JOIN) will be meeting next on 9/15/26, 6:30 PM, at church. We will be discussing “Theo of Golden” recommended by our own Cory Glover. We wanted everyone to have ample time to get the book and read it.
SNACKS WILL BE SERVED!

Calling all Singers!
Choir Kickoff will be on August 19th at 7pm in the Sanctuary - we will have food and drinks and then do some singing together.
If you are interested, but you don’t read sheet music, you are still welcome to join! If you are interested, but you cannot make Wednesday night rehearsals, please reach out to me (tara@gototapestry.org) I have a few ways we can work around this, and I want to make sure everyone who wants to participate has a chance to do so.
