Choir Kickoff will be on August 19th at 7pm in the Sanctuary - we will have food and drinks and then do some singing together.
If you are interested, but you don’t read sheet music, you are still welcome to join! If you are interested, but you cannot make Wednesday night rehearsals, please reach out to me (tara@gototapestry.org) I have a few ways we can work around this, and I want to make sure everyone who wants to participate has a chance to do so.

Tech Team Training
Sunday, August 30th, 11am (lunch provided)
Our trusty tech team is seeking to expand! We are looking for a few more individuals to join the team and help lighten the load.
Do you feel more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it?
Do you have a basic working knowledge of technology and a couple hours a year to spare? Are you looking for a new avenue to serve at Tapestry?
Have you just always wondered how we pull off multiple services livestreamed to the internet every week, complete with sound, graphics, and video?!?
Well, if any of those are you, please join us on Sunday, August 30th (after our combined worship service at 9:30am) to see how the tech table functions and how you could help the team. The training will be less than one hour and lunch will be provided.

School is back in session. Please help us stock the Indian Braves food pantry with cereal and instant oatmeal packets.
Batter Up - Baseball, Fireworks, Fellowship!
Please join us for our annual Indianapolis Indians baseball game on Friday, September 11th. Tickets are $15 for box seats or $9.00 for lawn, if we meet the group minimum of 25 tickets. Please RSVP to Linda Speziale before September 1st by calling or texting 317-965-6317. She will respond on August 31st.

Habitat for Humanity Fall Build
On September 12th, Tapestry Church will be participating in the 2026 Johnson County Habitat for Humanity Fall Build in Franklin, IN. We are looking for 8-10 individuals to participate in the build. Tentative activities on the 12th are installation of soffits and corner boards (subject to change). To register, go to: https://give.habitatjc.org/ge/tapestry If possible, please register by Aug. 9th so that T-shirts can be ordered. The minimum age to participate is 18 years. Tapestry will be serving a light breakfast and offering a short devotional on the 12th at the build site.

Sabbatical Congregational Book Study: Holy Envy
Tapestry is welcome to participate in Risen Lord's congregational book study of Holy Envy by Barbara Brown Taylor. They will be reading it while Pastor Wendy is on sabbatical. Free copies are available on the table in the entryway. You may sign up in the narthex for one of two study groups:
