Luke 12:13-21
13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.” 14 But he said to him, “Friend, who set me to be a judge or arbitrator over you?” 15 And he said to them, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.” 16 Then he told them a parable: “The land of a rich man produced abundantly. 17 And he thought to himself, ‘What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops?’ 18 Then he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.’ 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life is being demanded of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ 21 So it is with those who store up treasures for themselves but are not rich toward God.”

New Ministry Initiative - Year 2
After a rough 25-26 season without their best player, the Pacers are expecting a major bounce-back year with a rejuvenated roster.
Once again this season, Tapestry Church has access to two tickets to select Indiana Pacers games throughout the 26-27 season. The vision behind this initiative to help us strengthen our “threads” and deepen our relationships with one another. Everyone who used the tickets last season had great experiences. Many used them as an opportunity to get to know our Tapestry family better and some made new connections by inviting others to visit Tapestry.
Anyone may request use of the tickets, and they will be awarded at random based on the number of requests.
If you are interested in requesting use of the tickets, please Click Here to complete the interest form.
*This initiative is funded through Oversight New Ministry funds, generated annually from our Legacy Fund.

We Call Ourselves Disciples
Join us for 6-weeks as we discover how Tapestry fits into the distinctive identity and shared values of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), using the book “We Call Ourselves Disciples.” This insightful book features twelve chapters, each penned by respected Disciples pastors and scholars, offering diverse perspectives on the core tenets and lived experiences of the denomination. It's more than a summary, it is an invitation to enter into an ongoing conversation about faith, guiding you through the beautiful complexity of Disciples life.
Whether a new visitor, member, or a lifetime Disciple, you will get something out of these sessions. Join us this Sunday at 10:30am in room #3. On October 25th, we will offer our WEAVE class for new attendees, visitors, and new members during this same time slot.

This is a thank you card from a foster family that Tapestry is supporting. After dropping their children off at school, the mother and father were detained by ICE and remain in separate detention centers awaiting self-deportation. The children were immediately removed from school, without being able to return home and gather their things, and were placed into a foster home. Please pray that the family will be reunited, as they deal with this unnecessary injustice.
- We pray for those who are facing health challenges:
- Nina Eads
- Joe and Alice Stump
- Janet Granger
- Mandy McClendon (Bob & Linda Dill’s daughter) - ALS
- John and Barbara Snepp

Starting this month, we are pleased to announce that Leorah will be joining our church staff as a Social Media Manager. She will be giving us a few hours each month to create content on our church’s (previously inactive) Instagram account in hopes of sharing Tapestry’s inclusive message with new people online.
If you’re on Instagram, give our page (https://www.instagram.com/gototapestry) a follow, and be sure to like and share upcoming content.
And make sure to give a warm welcome to Leorah when you see her at church!
Here is what she had to say about Tapestry:
“I have been attending Tapestry church for about a year and a half now. Walking in, I immediately was welcomed, and I felt at home. That was the moment where I knew I found my new church, and that's my favorite thing about this place! I am also a student at the University of Indianapolis studying Psychology and Sociology. I am excited to take on a position as the social media manager here at Tapestry! If you see me walking around with a camera or a microphone...don't be alarmed, it's for this purpose. I'm looking forward to getting to know more members through this opportunity! :)"
