Mary Lou Green passed away on Thursday morning. Please keep her family in your prayers.
At Monday’s Board Meeting, the Board was pleased to learn that our 2019 income exceeded expenses by over $9,000. In light of all of the struggles we faced as a church early in 2019, we celebrated this great news in our meeting. Thank you for your generosity which
made this possible.
In early December, the congregation approved our budget for 2020. Since that time, the Board acknowledged that there have been some changes and oversights which impact this year’s budget. We also realized that in 2019 the Board voted to pay for a financial review (a simpler form of an audit). This was intended to be funded in the 2020 budget, but we failed to include it. None of this was a cause of major concern for the Board, but we do want to be completely transparent with the congregation.
To that end, we have requested that the Stewardship and Finance Committee bring an amended 2020 budget draft to the February meeting of the Board. Once approved, we will submit it to the congregation in early March. I’m so pleased that the Board is dealing with these issues in such a positive and healthy way.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Marys and Marthas
You have all seen announcements about this group meeting, but may not have known what it is all about or who can attend. We thought it was time to explain it to you. The M&M’s is an organization, formerly a part of CWF(Christian Women’s Fellowship), open to any woman who would like to become a part of it. CWF has recently had a name change to DWM(Disciple Women’s Ministry). All women are welcome to join this group for a morning Bible Study, Fellowship and Ministry. We meet at the church office on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 AM. You don’t need a formal invitation, just drop in and you will be warmly welcomed. Our members lead the Bible Study and all individual opinions are welcomed and appreciated. You don’t even have to be a member of the church. It’s a wonderful place for women to get to know each other and grow in our knowledge of the Bible and in our personal beliefs. We would enjoy having you attend any meeting and decide if you would like to join us. We’ll have any materials you will need available, so just come and see if you would like to be a part of this group. The next meeting will be on February 11, 2020. This is just one of the several women's ministries we offer at Tapestry.
Prayerground Manager Needed
We invited children of all ages to engage in our Worship. Many younger children use our Prayerground area. We are looking for an individual to bleach wipe our toys, rotate new toys in and out, and to occasionally wash the quilt. No committees, no meetings— just serving Tapestry’s children.
Contact Paula Ream if this is a way you can serve Tapestry Church.
