Coffee with Cory
Don't forget, there will be an informal Q&A session with our New Senior Minister this Sunday, February 2nd between Woven and Traditional service in the Sugar Grove cafeteria. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
Flocknote - Tapestry Communication
You may have noticed that our weekly email updates have changed. We are using a program called Flocknote to send our communications. If you are not getting the email communications you can sign up here or text “Tapestry” to 84576.
Communication Training
The Tapestry Office staff will be at an all-day training on Thursday, February 6th. We will be checking calls and emails periodically. Please let us know in advance if you need access to the office that day.
Lenten Learning
Lenten learning opportunities will be offered on six Thursdays, beginning 2/27. Topics include prayer, chanting, journaling, the enneagram, and Bible
journaling - which is an artistic and reflective way to journal in your Bible. They will be held at the church office and begin at 6:30 pm. Save the dates now!
Picturing Lent
If a picture is worth a thousand words, the 2020 Tapestry Lenten Devotional will contain 47,000 words! Your Worship team would like to invite any and all to contribute to this year's Lenten devotional entitled "Picturing Lent". You will be given a word and asked to define that word with a photo. You can use words to explain your shot along with the picture too, keeping your explanation to 2 or 3 sentences. Once you've taken the picture you will email it to Nina Eads (nina.eads@gmail.com), who will compile the photos into a print version and also a version for distribution through email. The emails will begin on February 26th, Ash Wednesday, and continue through April 12th, Easter Sunday. The printed booklets will be available on Sunday, February 23rd. Submissions will need to be to Nina no later than Sunday, February 16th. The earlier the better! A signup sheet will be available on Sunday, February 2nd when you will receive your word and instructions. We look forward to preparing our hearts and minds for Easter through a visual devotional!
