Sunday, September 6th -
, Mark 5:25-34
25 Now there was a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years. 26 She had endured much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had; and she was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 She had heard about Jesus, and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 for she said, “If I but touch his clothes, I will be made well.” 29 Immediately her hemorrhage stopped; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. 30 Immediately aware that power had gone forth from him, Jesus turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my clothes?” 31 And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing in on you; how can you say, ‘Who touched me?’” 32 He looked all around to see who had done it. 33 But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling, fell down before him, and told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
Due to some unexpected construction delays, our Open House has been postponed.
We are working hard to finish our new space and
announce a new date very soon.
ReEntry Phase 1
As of September 1st, we are now in Phase 1 of our ReEntry plan. Groups and committees have already resumed in-person meetings, in accordance with the Phase 1 guidelines - groups of 10 or less with masking, distancing, and cleaning protocols.
The Church Office is now open twice per week on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9 am-2 pm (although not open on Labor Day).
Worship will remain online only until Phase 2.

Thank You, Amy
It is with a heavy heart that we received the resignation of Amy McCartt, our nursery care worker. Amy has provided superb childcare during meetings and on Sunday mornings for 10+ years. Amy has worked hard to make parents and children feel safe and loved while under her care. She has been the connection point for the youngest among us here at Tapestry and will be greatly missed. If you and/or your family had a connection with her during her time at Tapestry/Southport, we invite you to send well wishes and words of thanks directly to her (
). Thank you, Amy, for all you've blessed Tapestry with over the years.
We're 'Here 4 U'!
As the school year begins, our Tapestry youth are participating in their schools' and other activities. The 'Here 4 U Ministry' at Tapestry Church is eager to support our youth's involvement in the activities provided by the schools and private organizations of Johnson County and the Indianapolis south side. We will support our youth's involvement in sports, the arts, and other extracurricular activities by sponsoring and advertising at these events. Please let us know how we may help and be 'Here 4 U' this school year! Contact Jane Kixmiller (317-691-3110 or
) for more information.
The Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County is urgently seeking volunteers to box groceries for the drive-through food distribution process. We are currently serving approximately 100 families a day Monday -Friday from 11 am to 3 pm. Interested volunteers can contact the pantry at email@example.com or call 317-736-5090 for more information. The minimum age for volunteering is 10 years old. The pantry is located at 211 Commerce Drive, Franklin.
Westwood Weekend Bags
Weekend Bags is a program where we will assemble weekend bags of food for those children that may not have the nourishment they need over the weekend! There are currently 15-20 students that are in need of this program at Westwood Elementary School. No child should be left hungry. We are asking for non-perishable, easy to prepare food for the children to ensure they receive enough food on the weekends to avoid hunger when they can't depend on a school meal. Two entrees (pasta bowls, chef boyardee, ind. cereal, two snacks, one juice box, applesauce, pudding cup, raisins, granola bars, crackers) are just a few ideas!!! Please contact Dawn Arnold (317-507-0003) to arrange pick-up/drop-off.
You can continue to give online through
or you can mail your tithes and offerings to the church office (
1001 State Road 135, Suite A1, Greenwood, IN 46142
). The work of the church is ongoing, and we are always grateful for your sustained generosity.

We pray for God’s guidance and protection for our governmental leaders who are making laws, for those in law enforcement who are tasked with enforcing those laws, and for protestors who are seeking fair implementation of those laws.
We pray for all those affected by COVID-19 and those caring for them, as well our governmental leaders as they make decisions regarding COVID-19 relaxing of restrictions.
